Payslip2CSVChrome + Firefox extension — French payslips

Turn a French payslip PDF into CSV. Nothing leaves your browser.

Drop a French payslip PDF and Payslip2CSV extracts the standard fields (gross, taxable net, net pay, year-to-date totals, employer, period) into an editable table, then exports to CSV. Pro adds batch processing (up to 50 payslips) and formatted Excel export for EUR 15 one-off.

How it works

One PDF, its payslip fields, corrected and exported — nothing uploaded.

  1. Drop the payslipOpen the extension, drop a payslip PDF with a real text layer. It is read in your browser only: no upload, no server, no account.
  2. Correct the detected fieldsPayslip2CSV finds gross, taxable net, net pay, year-to-date totals, employer and period. Fix any misread value in the editable table before exporting.
  3. Export to CSVDownload a clean CSV ready for your tracking sheet or accounting import. Pro processes several payslips at once and exports formatted Excel.

What the extension does

Payslip2CSV only reads payslip PDF with a real text layer, produced by payroll software — not a scanned image. That scope keeps it 100% local, with no OCR and no server cost.

Text-layer extraction

Reads the PDF's own text positions to find every line of the payslip, without OCR.

Editable table, free

Correct any misdetected value by hand before exporting, one payslip at a time, with no limit on the number of exports.

100% local

The PDF never leaves your browser. No server, no upload, no account to create, no salary data transmitted.

Batch processing (Pro)

Drop up to 50 payslips at once instead of correcting and exporting them one by one.

Standard fields recognised

Gross, taxable net, net pay, year-to-date totals, employer and period, on the most common payslip layouts.

Excel export (Pro)

Export a formatted .xlsx file ready for tracking or accounting import, not just raw CSV.

Free, and Pro when you need it

The free version extracts and exports any single payslip with a real text layer, with no limit and no expiry. Pro is for the batches an accounting firm or HR team processes every month.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on a scanned payslip or any PDF?

Only on payslips with a real text layer — the kind generated directly by payroll software, not a scanned image. There is no OCR, so a scanned or photographed payslip is not supported.

Does it upload my payslip anywhere?

No. The PDF is read and its fields extracted entirely in your browser. The only network call is the licence check against Gumroad when you activate a Pro key, at most once a day. No salary data ever leaves your machine.

How does the licence key work?

Gumroad emails you a key right after payment. Paste it in the extension's options page: it is checked once online, then stored locally, and the extension keeps working offline. Up to 5 machines, no expiry, no subscription.

Which payroll software is supported?

Extraction relies on the standard labels found on most French payslips (gross, taxable net, net pay, year-to-date). If a field is misdetected, correct it in the editable table before exporting.

What if I only convert one payslip occasionally?

Then the free version is enough: field extraction, correction, CSV export. No time limit.
